AS-Interface solutions for material handling / drive control
AS-Interface technology offers optimal solutions for communication with virtually any drive type which are simple to install as well as flexible and cost-effective. For example, 24V motorized rollers can be directly controlled so that no additional control device is needed. AC drives with, or without frequency converters, can also be controlled independently. This creates the prerequisite for implementing new and simpler system structures. AS-Interface enables remote installation and simple maintenance, works reliably (even under extreme conditions such as temperatures of down to –30 °C) and “sits” directly on the ASi cable, representing a significant savings in cable length.
Functional safety for material handling / drive control
The AS-Interface technology makes it simple to wire up safe devices. Profit from gateways with integrated safety monitors and simple drag-and-drop configuration. Safe speed and stop monitoring are also a component of the technology. With AS-Interface in material handling and drive control, safe and non-safe signals are carried on the same cable. Certified muting devices (safe coupling for example using Safe Link between different gateways and a wide range of safe I/O modules) complete the broad offering of safety technology with AS-Interface.
